Want to try herbal medicine,
but don’t know where to start?

Herbal medicine can provide gentle, safe, effective, and holistic support to a wide spectrum of health concerns and ailments.

Examples of ways I work with herbal medicine: digestive issues and support, mental health balance, nutrient depletion, blood cleansing foods and medicines, emotional processing and ptsd support, trauma healing and support, recovery after covid-19/flu/virus, nervous system regulation, pain and inflammation management, stress support, burnout, immune system maintenance and cold/flu/virus management, seasonal allergies, menstrual balance, grief support, sleep hygiene, lymphatic balance, disease symptom management, and much more.

The world of plant medicine and herbal remedies is vast. It’s a lot to understand- and I’m here to help. In order to discover what plants are right for you, let’s start by understanding you holistically.

Herbal Consultations

An herbal consultation is conversation between the herbalist and client to understand the health issues and experiences the client is having. Through a detailed questionnaire, the client will answer questions about their main concern, health history, family history, and past health issues. Consultations are virtual and available book for free. These consultations help paint a full picture of you and the avenues of needed healing. By examining a full picture of your health, we hope to determine the root of your issue and suggest the appropriate plants to help you best. Plants, medicines, foods, and lifestyle suggestions will be recommended to the client free of charge. Some remedies may be available through the WaterDaughter apothecary, some not. Any and all recommendations are made with the client’s best interest in mind based on the main health concern.

Cultivated ingredients are sourced from Our Friendly Allies, Kestrel Herb Farm, Starwest Botanicals, Frontier Co-Op, The French Broad Co-Op, Spicewalla, and Calamus & Honey.

Plant Allies are considered to be plants that are best suited to your unique constitution and health concerns. Plants are also living things, aside from their potent biochemical compounds, they are helpful allies to our lives. Discovering the relationship between yourself and medicinal plants can change lives!

Process

Herbal consultations begin with an in-depth patient case assessment.
Then, together we will discuss plants best suited for your main concerns. These remedies are primarily internal remedies; usually tinctures, tea, supplements, tonics, and oils. External Topical remedies can also be used. The treatment method will be customized to each individual’s needs.
These are free suggestions to help you be your healthiest you. Many of us are busy, stressed, exhausted and need support for the day to day.

If you have questions about Herbal Medicine or Plant Allies, or if you’re wondering if plant medicine could be right for you please shoot us an e-mail! We’d love to chat about the plants with you.
